Abstract :
Pumps and fans have been produced using a Class 180°C thermosetting, bondable magnet wire. The insulated magnet wire has good flexibility and meets the requirements of high speed winding equipment. The bondable magnet wire is also being examined for electrical brake and hermetic applications. The new bondcoat is superior to previous systems with respect to bonding and resoftening temperatures, chemical resistance and mechanical properties. The laboratory and field results obtained verify the unique properties of the coated wire and manufactured units. A movie has been made depicting the use of the new bondable magnet wire in a factory producing fans.
