Abstract :
Space factor is used to determine the compactness of a processed transformer core. It is desirable that the method used for determination of the space-factor represents that of the actual core. Several methods are available for determining space factor, including: the ASTM 719-75 lamination stack method, the wound toroid method, and the stacked core model method.
