Abstract
Electrical insulating paper and mineral oil form the basic electrical insulation system in much electrical power equipment, including cables, transformers, and switching apparatus. Many facets of the electrical behavior and performance of insulating papers in such systems have been investigated and reported in the past. It is well known that a very substantial increase in dielectric strength is achieved when mineral oil permeates and impregnates insulating paper.
