Abstract :
In construction projects where ad hoc decisions are dominant, achievement of logically grounded and adaptable process-centred collaboration is a topic of utmost importance. This paper suggests new possibilities to capture and reuse process knowledge through conceptual process patterns encompassing not only the processes but also the actors, resources, IT applications and services involved in them. It presents an ontology-based approach for business process modelling and management that enables tackling the complexity of distributed VO collaboration processes. Reported are results from the recently finished German project ArKoS (2003-2006) and the EU project InteliGrid (2004-2007). The shown specific realisation of the approach is taken from the latter.
