Abstract :
The resonant frequency of terahertz metamaterials is closely related to parameters which the metamaterials is composed of, but analysis of the resonance frequency is used to rely on simulation software. In this paper, an analytic model for the resonant frequency of the split ring resonators is presented based on LC resonant circuit model and taking into accounted kinetic inductance and surface capacitance as a correction. By comparing the analytical results with software simulation, we found that the analytic results which take kinetic inductance and surface capacitance into consideration agree well with the results of simulation.
