  • Abstract
Due to the small cycle, low cost, network simulation has become an important way of network research. As a widely used simulation software, NS2 have advantages of open source code and strong expansion. Ant colony algorithm is achieved on NS2, and the architecture and network protocol development process of NS2 is analyzed in this paper. For the slow search issue of parameter, the "Trilogy" rule will proposed to optimal it in this paper. The data will be generated by NS2 and the impact of the parameter (ant number, inspired factor, expectation inspired factor, and pheromone evaporation factor) on the algorithm will discussed and do many experiment to select the proper value for them. The jitter rate and packet transmission rate will used to verify the feasibility of the algorithm in this paper.
