Abstract :
Accurate forecast of HSC resistance has been a focus and a difficulty for the ship CFD researchers. When ships are in high-speed movement, their postures will change significantly, so when predicting their resistance performances, researchers must consider the changes of sailing postures. Based on CFD multiphase flow theory and dynamic mesh technology, viscous RANS equation and ship motion equation are solved together to do real-time computing of hull stress in this paper. According to the hull stress, ships´ sailing postures should be adjusted so that it can reach dynamic equilibrium, the data from which will be used to forecast the stabilized resistance and sailing postures after ships´ high-speed movement. And then compared the numerical results with the corresponding experimental data, when the Froude number is in the range of 0.461 ~ 0.701, the errors between resistance calculation results and experimental results of ship model shall be controlled within 1.5%. Numerical calculations have accurately forecast the resistance of HSC, which has importantly theoretical and engineering application values.
