Abstract :
The acceleration response spectra study can improve the calculation accuracy of seismic load, assuring seismic safety of engineering structures, having great meanings. 120 seismic waves were gathered and classified in different site classifications and magnitude. Time history analysis to single degree of freedom system with 5% damping was conducted to get the acceleration response spectra of such waves. The spectra are illustrated in figures to analyze the influence of earthquake magnitude and site classifications. Study shows that when the magnitude get larger, the decreased section of the spectra get bigger value, this trend will become more apparent when the site soil´s hardness increase. Ideas to establish the spectra model considering the magnitude and site classifications effects were proposed by discussion to the calculation results.
