Abstract :
A structural evaluating approach is presented by using influence matrix when the support displacements are known. The steps of the evaluating approach are given by applying the expression between the nodal displacements of the upper structure and the support displacements. A single span, two-story plane frame are analyzed for obtaining the nodal displacements and the internal forces of members of the upper structure when the uneven support settlement occurs. The results show that the proposed approach is simple and applicable for analyzing the upper structure due to the support settlement.
