Abstract :
Providing mud dyke before retaining structure can effectively reduce its internal force, deformation, and the influence of excavation on the surroundings. Summarizing the mechanism of Provided Mud Dyke, a new simplified calculation way based on the elastic-reaction method is proposed. And then, the effect of mud dyke was simulated by the modification of horizontal soil resistance coefficient or initial distributed soil reaction in equation for distributed soil reaction. At last, by the comparative analysis of calculation results with the structural mechanics method and monitoring results in excavation engineering, the feasibility of this method is verified.
