Abstract
Mid-frequency normal incidence reflection coefficient measurements at the Target and Reverberation Experiment of 2013 off the coast of the Florida panhandle revealed a weak variation in sediment type along the path where reverberation and propagation loss measurements were taken. However, analysis of the coda revealed strong variation in scattering, which was highly correlated with bathymetry. This suggested the presence of scatterers along the bathymetric contours.
