Abstract :
Multi Carrier CDMA (MC CDMA) is a stringent candidate for the next generation networks. In this paper, a multiuser detection scheme is proposed to mitigate the effects of MAI in the fading channel. Sub-optimal multiuser detection techniques are usually used owing to the exponentially increasing complexity of the optimum multiuser detector with the increase in number of users. A flexible chase algorithm is used to reduce the complexity of the optimum maximum likelihood (ml) detection scheme. The system dynamically adjusts the trade off between performance and complexity by changing the chase factor by sensing the inherent maximum error rate of the channel.
