Abstract :
Convolutional coding is the most commonly used channel encoding technique for reliable data transmission. While using convolutional coding Viterbi decoder is used to decode the data at the receiver end. As decoders can correct the n number of bit errors, when number of bit error increases the complexity of decoder also increases. So researchers have started to design a less complex Viterbi Decoder and to give more accurate results. In this paper proposed a 16-PSK Viterbi decoder for high bit data. By this method up to 2 bit error can be predicted.
