Abstract :
Cloud computing is an elastic, economical and an established delivery platform with the intention of provisioning business or consumer IT services via the Internet. Accessing the services by means of cloud model is a dominant approach for the end users to access remotely. With more organizations depending on cloud computing, offering security to data becomes a predominant role for cloud service provider. However an additional level of risk arises in cloud environment since the required services are outsourced generally to third party vendors which makes it a challenge in maintaining data security. The objective of this paper is to highlight the major issue of data leakage in the cloud environment which is considered as a potential security threat to organizations, specifically when authorized parties are engaged in data leakage.
