Abstract :
In conventional medical refrigerators, there is no system of automatic monitoring and tracking products kept inside them. In any hospital, the refrigerator is the key component for storage of vaccines, serums, reagents, hormones etc. In our paper, we present a novel approach of intelligent medical refrigeration system using IoT, RFID Technology, sensors and control unit. The refrigerator is equipped with an overhead camera used for face recognition which triggers the electro chromic glass door, turning it transparent on authorized user access thus make the system secure and energy efficient. Sensor based remote monitoring is one of characteristic features of the proposed system which constantly manages a record of the products kept inside the refrigerator.
