Abstract
Electrical energy demands are increasing day by day and application of renewable energy system is going to play major role to fulfill the demands. The microgrid is an electrical power system that incorporates distributed energy resources, distributed storage and local load. The microgrid can operate in shunt with the utility grid or in stand-alone mode. To increase the availability, the microgrids can be interfaced with highly available main grids and most can be interfaced to the grid through electronic converters. This paper presents review of different converter topologies for interconnecting microgrid with utility grid.
