ProAptiv: Efficient performance on a fully-synthesizable core

This article consists of a collection of slides from the author´s conference presentation on proAptiv, a fully synthesizable core architecture from MIPS Technologies. Some of the specific topics discussed include: an overview of the MIPS and the Aptiv family of core products; the special features and applications supported by a soft core versus a hard core of processors; the ProAptiv system layout; design considerations; and major processing capabilities supported by proAptiv.
