Abstract
This article consists of a collection of slides from the author´s conference presentation on the the opportunities and challenges for wireless communications in the home market. Some of the specific topics discussed include: wireless infrastructures that support home networking and communications, current and the future; consumer demand for wireless networks in the home; enabling ambient intelligence; energy management and conservation of wireless systems; ubiquitous wireless networks; bandwidth allocations and challenges; standards; and future areas of opportunity.
