Abstract :
Attendance register is a fundamental and compulsory tool in the academic environment. Most of the academic staff in universities around the world do this duty as part of their core work, because by the end of each semester they declare the list of excluded students who will not be allowed to write their final exams. Based on their percentage of absence from lectures. The aims of this study is to examine trends of the academic staff in college of applied science, Ibri to use electronic attendance through SIS system, and to check it, they are comfortable with this system or not? What is their opinion to decrease this inconvenient duty? The sample consisted of 50 instructors from the academic staff in Ibri College. A questionnaire was developed for the purpose of this study. Content validity and reliability were ensured to be sufficient for the study. The finding showed that the staff faced many technical problems like network connection and others, most of them think that electronic attendance is unnecessary burden. Finally this study present recommendations and advice to make this type of attendance more easy to use.
