Abstract :
This article consists of a collection of slides from the author´s conference presentation on photonics and future data center networking. Some of the specific topics discussed include: the special features of data centers, system architectures, and applications supported; network configuration; problems with current cabling infrastructures; the set up of a typical commercial data centers; workload considerations; data center challenges; and new technologies that will support data centers in the future.
