Optical interconnect circuits: Some design considerations

This article consists of a collection of slides from the author´s conference presentation on the design of optical interconnect circuits. Some of the specific topics discussed include: reasons to deploy optical interconnections; system architecture designs; costs and benefits analyses; generic serialized system architectures; and transmission capabilities of optical interconnect networks.
