Abstract :
This article consists of a collection of slides from the author´s conference presentation on new technologies to replace CMOS. Some of the specific topics discussed include: the future for silicon based technologies; the economics involved; new chip design considerations; the likely future of scaling; and the major benefits and drawbacks of silicon based chips.
