  • Abstract
Deterioration of electric signal causes poor efficiency or low power factor. One of the main factors affecting the quality of electrical signal is presence of harmonic content due to different switching combination for various loads. The Matrix Converter is a single stage AC to AC power converter, which directly connects a three phase input to a three phase output without any large reactive components. This work presents a topology of current compensation for reactive load and to reduce the harmonic present in the load circuit on three phase Matrix Converter with PID controller using Space Vector Modulation. The PID controller not only compensates the current, but also reduces the harmonic content to improve the quality of energy. The results of simulations will be presented and interpreted. In this paper, the PID controller is implemented for achieving perfect set point and to prevent the disturbance for compensating the above parameters of Matrix Converter.
