Abstract :
The development of large aperture telescope puts forward an increasingly high requirement to the antenna´s point accuracy. When the azimuth rotating part of large aperture radio telescope uses the wheel-rail system, the impact of wheel-rail pointing errors and the problem of wheel-rail wear are urgent to be solved. This paper first discusses the advantages and disadvantages of wheel-rail pedestal and puts forward some problems in wheel-rail system. Then compares the properties of three wheel-rail systems and references some research on traffic rail and wheel-rail crane system. Next, it introduces the contact theory to lay the foundation for the analysis of wheel-rail contact system. Finally, it analyzes the wheel-rail model in MSC.Patran/Nastran software, the result shows that the max strain and stress is in the rail. We also compare the ideal and actual wheel-rail contact model to find out the crevice´s influence on the mechanical properties of wheel-rail contact system.
