Abstract
This paper presents the evaluation of Complex Voltage Unbalance Factor (CVUF) on the performance of Induction motor. The assessment of motor performance in terms of copper losses, core loss, power factor, input power, efficiency, etc. are presented. Results show that the effect of phase angle of CVUF should be taken into account while calculating, core loss and copper loss. A mathematical relationship between the peak value of copper losses and core losses is illustrated. A coefficient of unbalance `f´ is inserted for estimating total copper loss, total core loss, input power, power factor, efficiency etc. in order to have precise results. The simulation results are validated using MATLAB.
