Abstract :
Transmit Antenna Selection (TAS) technique reduces the hardware complexity of Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) Systems. The performance of TAS systems can be further enhanced with Orthogonal Space Time Block Codes. In this paper, Transmit Antenna Selection (TAS) technique is presented which is based on Ergodic channel capacity scheme with single antenna selection for image transmission. The performance analysis of the system is carried out under Rayleigh fading channels for image input. Here a pilot training based single TAS system is proposed along with feedback models. The Bit Error Rate (BER) analysis is performed for the combinations of number of transmit and receive antennas for with and without TAS system in Rayleigh fading channel.
