Abstract :
DS-CDMA is currently running technique in which multiuser detection plays important role to remove the interfering signals. MUD exploits the structure of the Multiple Access Interference (MAI) and Inter symbol Interference (ISI) which occurs in CDMA systems due to non orthogonality of signature sequences and multipath fading between wireless communication channels. This paper contains a brief survey of numerous MUD techniques which have been developed for optimum MAI cancellation to improve BER and channel capacity and to reduce the computational complexity which increases exponentially with the number of users.
