Abstract
The behaviour of Diagonal Eigenvalue Unity (DEU) code for Spectral Amplitude Coding - Optical Code Division Multiple Access (SAC-OCDMA) system using a Direct Detection (DD) technique at receiver is analysed. DEU code families with ideal inphase Cross Correlation are based on Jordan block matrix. DD technique uses non-overlapping wavelengths for each user in detection process. DD technique eliminates Phase-Induced Intensity Noise and reduces the complexity of receiver structure (less number of components in receiver design) thereby reducing system cost. Simulation and numerical results are obtained using OptiSystem 13 (OptiWave) and Matlab respectively.
