Abstract
Broadband reflectarray microstrip antenna with an array and feed element consisting of E-shaped patches is proposed. The reflect array configurations namely, 1 × 3, 3 × 1, plus-shaped and 3 × 3 arrays have been studied. A parametric study for varying distances between the fed E-shaped patch and array of E-shaped patches for varying slot dimensions is presented. The maximum gain of more than 12 dBi with bandwidth of more than 1200 MHz is realized in 3 × 3 reflect array configuration.
