  • Abstract
In this paper, we propose a new family of two-dimensional (2-D) codes where one-coincidence frequency hopping code (OCFHC) is used for wavelength assignment and congruence codes (CC) for time slot assignment. The code family possess different maximum cross-correlation values (from 1 to 3) with zero maximum auto-correlation sidelobe value. Ideally, the code with low cross-correlation constraint is a good code but high cross-correlation constraint code can also perform well (under certain conditions). The huge cardinality of the code family suggest their use in multi-rate and multimedia applications with varying quality of service.
