Abstract :
Some targets coated with radar absorbing material have been investigated in the paper in order to analyze electromagnetic scattering properties of a coating target in wide-band efficiently, in which the finite difference time domain computational electromagnetics method is used. The radar cross section (RCS) of these targets, which are affected by the impedance matching and thickness of coated materials, have been discussed. The simulation result shows the absorbing property of the electromagnetic wave is the best when the electromagnetic parameters of coating materials satisfy the matching conditions, so the RCS of target can be effectively reduced.
