Abstract :
This paper presents a dual-band band-pass filter with a ring resonator and arrow-shaped defected ground structures (DGS). The two frequency bands are generated by the ring resonator and the two arrow-shaped defected ground structures are used to realize microstrip lines with high impedance to control the two frequency bands conveniently. In order to validate the simulation, a microstrip dual-band band-pass filter is designed and fabricated at 2.4GHz and 3.5GHz (WLAN/WiMAX). By tuning parameters of the defected ground structures, the results validate the theoretical analysis.
