Abstract
In this paper, shows detailed analysis and behavior of electromagnetic wave propagation at discontinuities for dielectric waveguides is an important topic in microwave engineering. This paper contributes to the analysis by modeling waveguides for geometries using Two dimensional Finite element method of triangular discretization. Pipe, Step, Sharp bend, double bend and Sharp kink models are simulated and the generated Maxwell´s equations have been solved using numerical solutions. The geometries are then compared and resulting matrices have been solved for the unknown parameters. Electric, magnetic, and Poynting vector fields have been determined and plotted in the results
