  • Abstract
    To measure the moisture in insulating material of the HV equipment, an on-line trace moisture measurement method based on MCU is introduced in this paper. The system is designed based on a single chip AT89C52. An alumina humidity sensor is employed to sense the humidity of the insulating material. Before being processed in the single chip, a pulse modulation circuit, low pass filter, amplifier and A/D converter are used to convert the humidity signal to digital signal. Then, the single chip processes the digital signal and display or print the humidity value. The system is implemented in the assemble language. The experiments in a private machinery factory show that our system can successfully monitor the humidity.
