Abstract :
Earth Observation activates are important activates to gain information about earth surface, thus has important significance on military, economic and geology fields. Imaging satellites are main executor of Earth Observation activates thanks to its position advantage. However, nowadays the requirements of Earth Observation activates are more and more complex. Therefore, it is difficult, if not impossible, to complete an imaging mission generated by Earth Observation activates using a single satellite. As a result, satellite networking technology and remote imaging system are developed to solve this problem. In this paper, several practical methods of satellite networking and research projects that focus on remote imaging system are described. Then the technologies used in those methods and projects are analyzed. Finally, some future research areas to this technology are pointed out.
