Abstract :
The presence of bad weather conditions like fog and haze reduces the contrast of the videos. To overcome this problem, a real-time video dehazing and defogging was proposed. We proposed a new approach for estimating the airlight directly from the frame rather than from dark channel prior. Then, we set the threshold to eliminate the non-airlight intensities. In this work, coarse transmission map can be refined using median dark channel prior method. The results from experiment clarifies that the method which has been proposed is better and effective in comparison with the state-of-the-art approach. Quantitative results prove that our method reduces the computational complexity per frame significantly.
