Abstract :
City car is a vehicle that suited for densely urban areas. One thing that requires attention when buy a city car is automobile seat comfort - this study´s focus is driver´s seat -, In general a study of automobile seat comfort is still focused on the ergonomic aspects. Automobile driver´s seat design which only focused on ergonomic aspects is not sufficient to meet the comfort expected by customers. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze customer requirements based on voice of customer. There are two goals of this study. First, to identify the customer requirements of driver´s seat design. Second, to get the design concept of comfortable driver´s seat. This study is using Quality Function Deployment method that giving priority of attributes based on customer requirements. This method conducted House of Quality that connects the voice of customers and technical characteristics. Refers to the results of this study, elected concept driver´s seat design is K6 (contour fit the curve of buttock, coating material from smooth synthetic leather, bright colors and adjust car´s interior color, trim design is a combination of straight lines and cross lines, seat has a logo and recliner from composites).
