Abstract :
The present work specifies the design and construction of a Gunn diode oscillator at X band (8.2 GHz-12.4 Ghz), built in order to be coupled to rectangular waveguides WR-90. Every fundamental piece necessary for an optimal performance is detailed, as a characterization of the working device. During measurement, a quality factor of at least 11200 and a variable working frequency - from 9.76 GHz to 9.96 Ghz - were obtained. Finally, some modifications able to be implemented in future designs are specified.
