Abstract :
To reduce the idle access, an algorithm featured by low channel access delay and priority differentiation service was proposed for the access procedure of IEEE 802.11. A state-dependent two-level polling model was established to analyze the QoS performance of M2M under unsaturated condition and perfect channel in the IEEE 802.11. To improve the transmission effective of massive M2M service, machine without transmission requirement would be set in the idle state and only active machine could access in the network. Two level mixed service polling mechanism were used to provide priority differentiation service. Based on these results, we derive the explicit closed-form expressions for the mean waiting time. Numerical examples demonstrate that theoretical and simulation results are identical and the new system is efficiency both at key termination and normal terminations.
