Abstract :
The effect of electromagnetic Radiated Emissions has hazardous effect on human health. On the other hand, telecom service providers are worried about quality of service of mobile services after implementation of strict norms regarding cell tower radiations. Therefore an exercise has been done to measure cell tower radiations at various places. In this exercise, the survey of three Mobile Towers has been done. This project deals with practically observed Radiated Emissions levels (Electric field strength, Magnetic field strength and Power Density). Then the safe zone has been determined by comparing the observed results with the recommended ICNIRP standards. Readings has been taken by using Electro smog Meter- 9720. Then these readings have been converted in dB for plotting graphs. Graphs have been plotted using MATLAB with RE level Vs distance in meters. Actual Implementation has been done by designing Hardware Mesh Enclosure for prescribed frequency range (400-2000 MHz) for minimizing radiation. By using Aluminium mesh, Radiated Emission levels have been again observed for the same Mobile Tower. Thus RF Audit has been done for welfare of mankind and a step has been taken to mitigate the Radiated Emissions ensuring an initiative towards Green Communication.
