Abstract :
In this paper is developed a MPPT controller for a photovoltaic/wind system and implemented on the ALTERA DE0-NANO board. The SOPC is used to implement the PI controller and the PWM generator. The MPPT algorithm is implemented with a NIOS II processor. The aim of the MPPT unit is to change the duty cycles of the IGBTs to make DC-DC converters of the photovoltaic/wind installation work at maximum power. The MPPT controller system becomes a detached and highly integrated solution.
