An analytical technique for on-chip power amplifier matching based around transformer

This paper reports an analytical technique to optimise the coupling factor and determine the range of source and load impedances for a first order linear transformer utilized in impedance matching applications. The technique, although generic, has been validated over 2-4 GHz frequency range for transformer operation through numerous test cases and examples.
