Abstract :
This paper presents the design of a compact split ring resonator (SRR) loaded microstrip fed coplanar tapered slot antenna having frequency notch characteristics. The electromagnetic coupling of the SRR with the microstrip transmission line yields the frequency notch in the antenna bandwidth. Proposed concept can be used to change the notch frequency without affecting the radiation characteristics of the antenna. This proposed structure is simulated using finite element based EM simulator HFSS v15.
