  • Abstract
In this paper, triple band cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna with a novel mirostrip line feed is examined. Triangular shaped mirostrip line generates two different modes (i.e. HE11δ and TM01δ) in CDRA at 3.20 GHz and 5.37 GHz respectively. The proposed antenna design operates in three different frequency bands i.e. 2.55-2.68 GHz; 2.96-3.59 GHz; 5.19-6.19 GHz with the fractional bandwidth of 4.9%; 19.23% and 17.57% respectively. Proposed antenna design is applicable WLAN (5.2/5.8 GHz) and WiMAX (2.5/3.5/5.5 GHz) applications. Proposed design has been investigated, optimized using Ansoft HFSS simulation software and results have also been verified using CST Microwave Studio.
