Abstract :
Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is an advancement in technology, which is known for invention in low cost applications both for mass public as well as for defense. The sensor node uses the communication technology that can be two types, firstly network allows the non-uniform participation of sensor nodes with any applications that is intend for, leaving behind most of the area uncovered, such that the area is with minimum number of sensor nodes, because of which additional energy is spent to route the data since the location of nodes are at far distance. Secondly the area of network would be less with large number of nodes deployed such that during the routing more number of nodes that are in the path again uses additional energy. The proposed work is intended to develop Effective Energy Efficient Node Placement Algorithm (EEENP) in order to place the sensor node efficiently in simulated area. The objective of the work is to place the nodes at uniform distance such that WSN is considered with different pattern of nodes in random, circular and grid pattern, the simulation is carried out in qualnet simulator, the results are obtained for energy in terms of transmission, reception and idle mode of network nodes. Simulation shows that more amount of energy is saved for circular pattern of nodes.
