Abstract
The full-wave and circuit method are combined to be utilized to analyze the performance of the sinusoidal shaped microstrip bandstop filter. The static distributed circuit parameters of the filter are extracted with the full-wave electromagnetic method, then used to construct the equivalent circuit. The frequency domain performance of the sinusoidal shaped microstrip bandstop filter are obtained with the input and characteristic impedance calculated from the equivalent circuit. Owing to better agreement between the S parameters obtained with static circuit parameters and the measured results, the effectiveness of the distributed circuit parameters applied to predict the performance of microstrip filter is verified.
