Abstract :
This paper analyzes the influence of geometric dimensions of absorptive/transmissive radome to its performance based on equivalent circuit theory. When the impedance of free space matches the impedance of absorber, no wave would be reflected and most energy would be absorbed. The absorptive/transmissiveradome is consisted by aperture frequency selective surface(FSS), substrate and absorptive FSS. Aperture FSS decides the pass band of radome and resistive FSS and thickness of substrate has great influence on the absorptive band. Conclusions obtained by equivalent circuit theory were verified in HFSS.
