Abstract :
A new calculation method for the equivalent width of the substrate integrated coaxial line (SICL) with two dielectric substrate layers, the same height and different permittivity is proposed in this paper. The SICL is approximately modeled as a rectangular coaxial line (RCL) of the same characteristic impedance using the equivalent capacitance theory, with equivalent width weff. Lastly, the proposed calculation method was proved effectively by simulation results.
