Abstract :
The high-frequency signals going through high-speed connectors are dominant interference sources in communication enclosures. However, it is difficult to estimate their EMC influence with numerical simulation. In this paper, a mixed strategy is proposed to simplify the EMI simulation of complex communication equipment. Firstly, a background transmission loss is introduced and determined by tested Quality Factor with Reverberation Chamber Theory to approximately model the resonance of real equipment. Then, Superposition Principle of active excitation is adopted to simplify the simulation of multi-signal transmission with random time delay. Furthermore, instead of integrative simulation with connectors and enclosures, the equivalent near-field source emitted by connectors is abstracted based on Huygens´ Principle, and a co-simulation is realized with near-field sources and enclosures. The proposed method can accurately model the resonance characteristic of practical equipment, simplify the numerical simulation and ease the superposition effect analysis of multiple input signals with random time delay.
