Abstract
This paper presents a novel strategy of the memory storage requirement in a time-domain (TD) iterative hybrid technique, which combines the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method and the time-domain physical-optics (TDPO). A minimized time range requirement of the shared information for all the observation points is determined by the analysis of the causality of transient EM fields. This range requirement is only depend on the distance between the FDTD-region and the TDPO-region which allows less memory storage without reducing the computational efficiency.
